xx MYTH
Like Fushigi Yuugi, the four Saint Beasts of YYH are based on ancient Chinese astronomy. The sky was
divided into four parts, each had 28 segments. The four parts are represented by four gods;
Suzaku (the red bird):
Represented the southern part of the sky, summer, and the color red.
Seiryuu (the blue dragon):
Represented the eastern part of the sky, spring, and the color blue.
Genbu (black tortoise or warrior):
Represented the northern part of the sky, winter, and the color black.
Byakko (the white tiger):
Represented the western part of the sky, fall, and the color white.
