. . . MYTH |
The hawk plays a part in just about every
culture. In Egypt hawks(and falcons) were the royal birds. There were also a great many gods/goddesses
with the head of a hawk. In Greek myth a hawk was Apollo's messenger. In an Amerindian myth the
hawk was one of the creatures who helped create the world after the flood. The hawk is usually
connected to the sun or sun deity. The hawk was most important to the Egyptian society but is
quite common among all people.
